Our main focus is on improving your oral communication. After many years of teaching experience we have seen that what most people want, and in fact need, in order to improve their language skills is to ‘break through the conversational barrier’. Once you can understand what people say to you and can make yourself understood orally, then suddenly everything else seems to slip into place. Your confidence increases and you finally start thinking in the other language rather than painfully trying to translate from your own language.
Obviously grammar and structure are essential and we will also help with any difficulties you have there. If there is anything in particular you would like to study then we will go over that and will send extra material and exercises to your e-mail address. We will also correct any mistakes you make during class so that you can identify and rectify them.
We aim to make classes stimulating and interesting as the best way to learn is to enjoy what you are doing. We use a huge variety of resources in order to achieve this so you should never find a class boring. Your input is of course essential in this. It may be that one day you have read
something in the newspaper and would like to learn more about it, or you might have a particular interest in travel or photography for example and would like to talk about that during the lesson.The Internet for this is fantastic as there is a ready supply of material there which can be used as a focus for discussion. If you would like classes to be quite structured then we can supply you with different conversation topics which will increase your vocabulary and test your understanding through exercises. Or we could follow a more traditional route and purchase a text book which we can work our way through. Possibly, you might simply prefer to chat casually over a cup of tea while sitting on your sofa. Whatever you prefer, we can and will adapt to.

Before you start you will need to have a Skype account for communication (www.skype.com) for free download, and an account with Moneybookers (www.moneybookers.com) for payment. Alternatively payment can be made via bank transfer. To be able to communicate and learn effectively it is important to have a good ADSL Internet connection, a good quality headset with microphone and a webcam (this is optional but it helps to be able to see your teacher and for them to be able to see you). The other essential item is an e-mail address where we can send class material, corrections or anything else that might be relevant to your learning experience.
Once you have all of these things you are ready to start. Contact us to arrange a time that suits you and then make sure that you are at your computer at the appointed time with your e-mail and skype account open. We’ll do the rest – you just have to think and talk!

Apart from the obvious advantages of saving time and money on transport and the comfort of being in your house or office, this is actually a much better way of improving your language skills. Everybody knows that communication via the telephone is incredibly difficult as there are no visual signs to help you to understand. If you can master this then, then you really have mastered the language. Face to face communication will consequently seem incredibly easy. The other major advantage of learning online is the massive array of material available to you throughout the class. At your fingertips you have a whole exciting world of information making classes much more interesting and interactive. Traditional classes with a textbook and a sterile classroom can never provide you with such up to date material to suit every need and interest.
RESERVATION AND PAYMENT
Classes need to be booked in advance. In order to do this you will need to contact us via e-mail (ebteaching @gmail.com) to organise a suitable time and day for your class. Payment will then need to be made either via your Moneybookers' account (www.moneybookers.com) or via bank transfer.
Classes cost 30 Euros / 60 mins. We would recommend you make block bookings to minimise bank charges or commissions. You can decide how many classes you would like to book in advance – anything from one hour upwards.
